St. Jude Medical, Inc. received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for manufacturing its pacemakers and cardiac leads in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The company plans to begin manufacturing its implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) later this year.
Commenting on the occasion, president and CEO of St. Jude Medical, Daniel J. The expansion of our Puerto Rico operations enhances our ability to provide life-saving devices to people around the world.”
